The fact is that once a ship is fully researched and the next ship in the tree is researched, any additional experience acquired on that ship is completely useless unless you pay to convert it to free experience. As far as what the developers "say," well, you can take that for what it's worth. Please don't mischaracterize my comment so you can make your point. That would make leveling Captains trivial.I think the video clip above gives us a good indication that the development team does not see converting Elite Ship XP to Free XP to be a major revenue stream. It would be nice if you could accelerate Captain training like you can for WoT, but it is not really needed the way it is in WoT. At the 1,680,510 XP it would take to get a WoT crew member to 100% in his fourth skill/perk, you could get one WoWS Captain maxed out (1,117,900 XP) at Tier 18, and still have 508,610 XP left over to level a second one to Tier 15 and around 73% of the way to Tier 16. Note that, for the 840,255 XP that it would take you to get a WoT crew member to 100% in his third skill/perk, your WoWS Captain would be at Tier 16 and around halfway to Tier 17. The following is the leveling chart in the Wiki: It costs far less XP to max out a Captain. Therefore, to get a crew member to 100% in his third skill/perk, it costs 840,255 XP, and it takes 1,680,510 XP to get his fourth skill/perk to 100%.īy contrast, in WoWS, you are training a single Captain. Each subsequent skill/perk costs twice as much as the previous. It then costs twice as much (210,484) XP to train him to 100% in his first skill/perk. In WoT, it costs 105,242 XP to train a crew member to 100% in his Major Qualification. In WoT, you are training a crew that can be anywhere from 2 to 6 members, with 4 probably being the most common. Having come from WoT myself, it is a bit annoying that they don't allow you to accelerate crew training, even on Premium ships, but you can't really expect it because it is an unfair comparison.
